L E S S T H A N 5 W E E K S T O G O ! ! !

No not Christmas (well technically yes Christmas as well) what I am of course talking about is B-DAY ! That's right it's less that 5 weeks until out baby is due. Are we ready ? well we're getting there, we've been to antenatal classes, been practising our positions for 1st and 2nd stage labour, taken delivery of our inflatable birthing pool and read enough books to sink a battle ship.

So no, of course we're not ready, not only do we need to buy another list of things as long as your arm, put together the cot and the flat pack furniture, and practise our breathing exercise a _lot_ more. No the thing that's struck us is that it's pretty obvious that nothing on earth can prepare you for for something like this ? However we are both getting very excited, the baby is now "engaged" (that's the right position for being born, not planning a wedding) and we're all systems go for a pre Christmas birth (hopefully).

I really want to say thank you now to the our respective parents and families who have all been fantastic giving us support and advice, presents and cash. Also to all of our London friends who made it down to see us and stayed in touch. Thanks to all of you, we look forward to when you next come down.

There has been some other stuff going on in our lives other than pregnancy, but the only thing out of the ordinary was that I DJ'd for the first time in nearly 2 years a couple of nights back, providing background chill out music for a local "open mike" night aimed at new local live performers, went well so should become a regular event I hope.

Right this is it, pictures of baby, mother and birth will be up soon after the event, I may be getting a bit premature with all this and end up bloging again before it happens of course, like on January 5th 2004 - wish this baby would hurry up, but I hope not. watch this space......
